Meet Shanice, our August Bride of the Month! She and her fiance, Kirk, are getting married in March 2017 in Decatur, Georgia!
How did he propose? Kirk proposed on the balcony of the winery at Chateau Elan in Braselton. Kirk and I love wine tastings, so I had been asking to visit the vineyard for months. Little did I know he was planning the most perfect proposal.
When we arrived for the tasting, the evening crowd had not yet arrived so we were the only two guests in the winery making for a romantic atmosphere. In the middle of the tasting, Kirk asked if we could watch the sunset from the balcony upstairs. He’s romantic like that so I didn’t think it was out of the norm. After an intimate conversation about our lives together and our love, he dropped to one knee and asked me to be his wife! He arranged for a photographer to be there to capture the moment. I’m so happy we get to cherish photos of the day our lives changed. After the proposal, we enjoyed champagne and an amazing view of the vineyard in pure bliss!
What has been the most fun and the most difficult part of the wedding planning process? The most fun part of the wedding planning process has been selecting our vendors. We take pride in the professionals we’ve selected so far, and we really want them to not only help produce our day, but be a part of our day. We’ve taken the time to meet, greet, taste and sip with all of them!
The most difficult part has been making the decisions. There is so much variety in the wedding industry, and sometimes it’s hard to pick. All in all, we think our wedding day will represent us 100%.
Congratulations Shanice and Kirk! We can’t wait to see the wedding photos!
